About 29 Then 40

In 2016, I started this blog as a birthday challenge: write 40 posts in 40 days. Then, plot twist! Since 2016 was a leap year, why not start the blog on February 29? It became 44 posts in 44 days.

29 then 40 chronicles my humorous childhood and grown up stories. My teenage figure skating years. My confusing separation and random opinions, advice, and rants. Throwback Thursdays, reflections, humorous stories about past jobs and my childhood. Plus, posts from my unplanned stay at the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit during the birthday challenge.

I’m a freelance reporter, adult figure skater, and a published author. A Red River College alumni with a Creative Communications diploma in journalism, and a former Edmonton broadcast journalist (television and radio).

I’m also a part time undergrad student at the University of Manitoba, majoring in Criminology.
